The Dove Foundation was founded in 1983 with a mission to help the discouraged, addicted and needy find hope, help, and deliverance through the word of God.  The Dove Foundation is housed in the Wings of Life facility and provides over 200 ministry services per year in addition to the 1352 services held by the Wings of Life.

 In addition, the Dove Foundation provides a 1-year residential rehabilitation prog2ram that provides counseling and safety for those fighting drug and alcohol addiction.  The program accepts individuals from every walk of life from the very wealthy to the nation's homeless; however approximately 85% of the residents are financially unable to pay for the program.  The only requirement for consideration by the Dove Foundation is that participants complete the Wings of Life* 90-day rehabilitation program.  The Dove Foundation is funded solely through charitable contributions and the contributions of sellers that enroll their homes in American Family Funds, Down Payment Gift Program.

 Pastor Chris Patrick and his wife Leah saw the benefit of working with other organizations and churches to help fulfill Dove's vision very soon after they became Directors in 1989.  The Dove Foundation supports the Wings of Life, an alcohol and drug rehabilitation program, Metro Ministries, an outreach program to the inner city youth, Discovery Family Ministries, a distinctive Christian ministry applying concepts from the Bible and the 12-Step Program, to Life's most difficult challenges, the M.A.I.C (The Mobile Area Interfaith Conference) Jail Ministries, and The American Family Funds, Down Payment Gift Program a program that provides financial assistance to qualified buyers through a down payment gift from The Dove Foundation.

A Letter from the Director

As the Director of The Dove Foundation, I thank you for using American Family Funds. We feel fortunate to be able to help so many families and individuals achieve home ownership.  At the same time, your seller contributions help the Dove Foundation provide counseling and treatment in the fight against drug and alcohol addiction.  Additionally, in 2002, the Wings of Life rehabilitation facility and the Dove Foundation served over 90,000 meals to the homeless and those in the 90-day Inpatient Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Program.

We provide over 200 ministry services per year which include youth programs as well as drug & alcohol counseling and education programs. Through our partnership with the American Family Funds Down Payment Gift Program, we have started working with several other ministries to help fulfill our vision for a better America.
